We want our students to continue to achieve academic excellence. Please encourage your student to attend the support opportunities provided by their teachers. Teachers will share this information on google classroom, email, and Class Dojo. If you need any assistance, please reach out to the teachers, counselors, administration, or office staff. Weekly Student Update

Street Safety Rules: As we open our schools for in-person learning for the parents who have requested it, we encourage parents/guardians to spend time reviewing street safety rules with your children.
The crossing guards that helped guide students safely across the street used to be provided by the City of Lawndale, but they terminated the contract last June.  As a result, there will be no crossing guards to guide your students to school.

Safe routes to school maps and resources can be found on our website at

District Updates

The field of education is filled with technical terms, detailed reports, and federal guidelines. However, one of the major components that isn’t discussed is the relationship between the family and the school in their effort to best serve the student. However, there are bound to be moments when the district and family do not see eye-to-eye.

In those moments, Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) may be appropriate. ADR is a service that the SELPA provides to individuals, giving them an opportunity to resolve disagreements in a safe, positive, and efficient manner. This presentation will outline the ADR services and fill you in on how the SELPA can help during IEP meetings.

To RSVP, please email Crystal Lopez at and you will receive a zoom link to connect to the meeting.

Meeting Date: April 19, 2021
