Principal's Message

Dear Rogers Families,

Due to the surge in coronavirus cases in our region, Superintendent Betsy Hamilton discussed a plan to help stop the spread of the virus by diminishing the numbers of staff at school.  Reducing the level of contact between staff members will reduce potential exposure to the virus. This schedule will remain in effect until further notice.

We will continue to provide our Food Services program at select schools on Mondays and Wednesdays. Our school facilities will continue to be cleaned and maintained. Teachers and office staff will be working remotely. Parents can reach school personnel by phone (310) 676-1197 and can make an appointment if needed.

The field of education is filled with technical terms, detailed reports, and federal guidelines. However, one of the major components that isn’t discussed is the relationship between the family and the school in their effort to best serve the student. However, there are bound to be moments when the district and family do not see eye-to-eye.

In those moments, Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) may be appropriate. ADR is a service that the SELPA provides to individuals, giving them an opportunity to resolve disagreements in a safe, positive, and efficient manner. This presentation will outline the ADR services and fill you in on how the SELPA can help during IEP meetings.

To RSVP, please email Crystal Lopez at and you will receive a zoom link to connect to the meeting.
