Panther News

The Lawndale Elementary School District Board of Education will conduct their Regular Board Meeting on Thursday, November 3, 2016 beginning at 4:30 p.m. at the District Office located at 4161 W. 147th Street in Lawndale, CA.  This is a change from the original meeting date which was scheduled for Tuesday, November 1, 2016.

The boys Flag Football team defeated Dana 20-6 to earn their first win of the season.  With great Quarterback play by D'Arie Jones throwing touchdowns to both Rodrick Gordon and Daniel Leanos and a long run by Salomone Ahoia, the offense seems to be hitting stride at just the right time.  Their defense was solid throughout the whole game lead by Rogelio Soto and Makai Griffin on the defensive line and Joshua Sanchez and Charles Keymermateng at linebackers.  The Panthers look for their second win in a row as they play Jane Addams this Thursday 10/27 at home at 2pm.

Starting next week, Leadership will be selling Halloween Grams. For $1, you can send your favorite person a Halloween treat. Say “boo!” to your “boo!” Grams will be delivered on Oct. 31.

You are probably aware by now about the Creepy/Killer Clown phenomenon that is taking over social media.  It started in the rural south in August and has now spread nationwide--and will more than likely be around until Halloween.

Many of our students and families have seen news about sightings, school closures, and threats.  Although it is a joke/hoax this is scaring a lot of children.
